November 24th 2025, London - TRACIT signed an MoU with The Anti-Slavery Collective (TASC) to deepen collaboration on forced and child labor in illicit supply chains. Together, TRACIT and TASC are launching Project Hidden Thread, a practical effort to help officers, investigators, and frontline enforcers spot indicators of labor abuse during illicit trade raids. ​ More

October 3rd 2025, Lyon - TRACIT's Director of Programs, Suriya Padmanaabhan, joined INTERPOL’s Operation Pangea XVII Debrief in Lyon to present TRACIT’s contribution to the operation against illicit pharmaceuticals. She highlighted the organization’s law enforcement training based on the UPU-TRACIT Illicit Pharma Detection Guide and underscored the urgent need to strengthen controls over online pharmaceutical trade. More
October 1st 2025, Lyon - TRACIT's Director General, Jeffrey Hardy, moderated a panel on on forced and child labor in illicit trade at the Interpol 2025 IP Crime Conference with speakers from IP House and the Anti Slavery Collective. He highlighted TRACIT’s UK-based partnership with ACG and urged INTERPOL to expand police training to identify and report forced and child labor in counterfeit production. More
September 26th 2025, New York - TRACIT's Director of External Communication Ashley Dahl, joined Goals House roundtable on The Human Cost of Fake Fashion during the UNGA to present TRACIT’s 3-step roadmap to address child and forced labor in illicit trade: expose the problem with credible evidence, equip enforcement authorities and stakeholders with the tools to act, and build cross-sector partnerships that drive systemic change.
5 September 2025, Quito - TRACIT’s 2025 Illicit Trade Index places Ecuador among the most vulnerable countries to illicit trade. Porous borders and weak enforcement undermine tax revenues, public health, and legitimate businesses. TRACIT calls for stronger enforcement, public–private cooperation, and regional coordination to curb criminal networks and strengthen institutional capacity. More

Director-General Jeffrey Hardy launched TRACIT’s new report Spotlight on Uzbekistan, which analyzes the country’s illicit trade dynamics, highlights regulatory gaps, and sets out recommendations for stronger enforcement. 14 August 2025, São Paulo - TRACIT has signed an MoU with Brazil’s Grupo de Proteção à Marca (BPG) to combat illicit trade, counterfeiting, and IP crimes. The partnership combines TRACIT’s global platform with BPG’s local enforcement expertise. Joint efforts will focus on policy reform, public awareness, and stronger enforcement. BPG works closely with authorities and industry to protect consumers and uphold IP rights. More
7-9 April 2025, Cartagena - Customs General Directors from 27 countries in the Americas, along with observers from Portugal, gathered for the 2nd Summit of Customs General Directors of the Americas. The summit, organized by Colombia's Directorate of National Taxes and Customs (DIAN) and TRACIT, provided a platform strategic discussions, networking, and insightful presentations—all focused on strengthening regional cooperation to combat illicit trade. More
18 March 2025, Paris - TRACIT’s 2025 Illicit Trade Index was launched during a special session of the First OECD Forum on Countering Illicit Trade, which brought together stakeholders committed to preserving the integrity of the rules-based international trading system. Ranking 158 countries on their national resilience against illicit trade, the Index identifies vulnerabilities, strengths, and trends within national systems. More
