TRACIT received Permanent Observer Status during the General Assembly meeting 21-23 September 2020. Observer Status presents a valuable opportunity for TRACIT to amplify the dialogue on the importance of protecting Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), which is crucial to maximize the value of human creativity and innovation, safeguard the health of consumers, promote economic development and deploy modern technologies. TRACIT also participates in meetings of the  WIPO Advisory Committee on Enforcement.

EIU is the world leader in global business intelligence. EIU is the business-to-business arm of The Economist Group, which publishes The Economist newspaper. TRACIT is a member of the Buy Safe America Coalition, a diverse group of responsible retailers, consumer groups, manufacturers, intellectual property advocates and law enforcement officials who support efforts at all levels of government to protect consumers and communities from the sale of counterfeit and stolen goods. The coalition supports legislation that requires online marketplaces to collect and verify basic information of third parties who sell products on their platforms. Visit the Coalition here.

TRACIT supports the annual Business 20, or B20 process. The B20 represents the business community across all G20 member states and industry sectors. B20 seeks to support the G20 in developing approaches and policies to address the global challenges and priorities defined by the G20 countries. During the 2021 Italy B20 cycle, TRACIT will actively participate and share its expertise with the Integrity & Compliance Taskforce, allowing us to engage with our partners and new stakeholders on the threat of illicit trade to G20 economies.
